Drysuit Primer – Dive in Comfort, Extend Your Bottom Time
Have you ever wished you could dive longer, go a bit deeper, or explore in chilly environments with comfort and confidence? Then this course is for you. The Drysuit Primer at Scuba Adventures Plano introduces you to the world of drysuit diving — the key to better thermal protection, extended dives, and more freedom underwater.

Why Take It?
In this one-day course, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge to transition from wetsuit to drysuit diving. Whether you’re diving in colder waters or simply want to stay underwater longer and more comfortably – this primer gives you the foundation you need. GUE

Who Should Sign Up?
Divers who are:

At least 16 years old

Physically and mentally fit (and non-smokers) GUE

Holding an autonomous entry-level scuba certification (or equivalent) from a recognized agency GUE
This course is open to non-GUE trained divers and serves as an excellent introduction to GUE systems and standards.

What You’ll Learn
Over approximately eight hours (minimum two dives + classroom and land drills) you’ll cover: GUE

Proper drysuit types, fitting, and undergarments

Dry-suit inflation systems and techniques

Cold-water diving considerations and thermal protection

Buoyancy and trim refinement while wearing a drysuit

Managing basic drysuit-related emergencies
By the end, you’ll be equipped (figuratively and literally) to dive with increased confidence, comfort and capability.

Length: 1 day, with both classroom/land drills + in-water dives GUE

Prerequisites: Minimum age 16, certified diver, able to swim, medically fit (written physician authorization if required) GUE

Location: Scuba Adventures Plano dive center & local dive pool or open-water site (to be confirmed)

Equipment: Bring your standard scuba kit; a drysuit (rental available) and undergarments are needed
