This package is designed for divers who want their Advanced Diver development to include formal training for deeper recreational dives. Rather than receiving only an introductory deep-diving experience, you complete the full SDI Deep Diver specialty alongside Advanced Buoyancy and Underwater Navigation.
That gives you structured training in buoyancy, navigation, gas awareness, planning, and decision-making before taking on deeper environments.
This package is for certified divers who want to expand both their skills and the environments they are prepared to dive. It combines a structured Advanced Diver pathway with the full SDI Deep Diver specialty.
- Scuba Adventures Open Water Divers who have completed Computer Nitrox

- We coordinate your required classroom, pool, and open-water sessions
- You may join already scheduled specialty classes or train with an instructor who is already scheduled at the open-water site
- Deep Diver sessions are coordinated around suitable open-water conditions, depth access, and instructor availability
- Complete four qualifying SDI, TDI, or ERDI Specialty Diver courses or recognized equivalents.
- Only one course without dives may normally be credited toward the SDI Advanced Diver Development Program, with the exception of SDI Computer Nitrox.
- Provide proof of at least 25 logged dives.
- Complete all knowledge development, confined-water work, and open-water dives required by the selected specialties.
- After the requirements have been completed and verified, an instructor will process the SDI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
The SDI Junior Advanced Diver certification follows the same general requirements, provided all selected specialty courses and completed depths are permitted for the junior diver’s age.
This is a flexible development program made up of multiple specialty courses rather than one class that everyone must attend together. Once your online academics are complete, we can place you into upcoming specialty sessions or coordinate training with an available instructor.
Deep Diver training also depends on access to an appropriate open-water site and suitable conditions. This scheduling model gives you more opportunities to progress without waiting for an entirely new Advanced Diver group to form.
