GUE Performance Diver

The GUE Performance Diver course is your introduction to the GUE system and the perfect way to refine buoyancy, trim, propulsion, and teamwork. It’s designed for divers who want to feel truly in control underwater and prepare themselves for more advanced GUE training.

What You Will Learn

• Adaptive online learning through the GUE eLearning platform
• Buoyancy, trim, balance, and propulsion techniques (including backwards kick)
• Standardized equipment configuration and team-based diving procedures
• Gas sharing, ascent protocols, and controlled buoyant ascents
• Optional experience dive at instructor discretion
• Introduction to nitrox theory and practical planning

Course Prerequisites

• Minimum age: 12 years
• Must be physically and mentally fit for diving
• Non-smoker
• Autonomous entry-level scuba certification (or equivalent)
• If using doubles: 10+ non-training dives in a GUE doubles configuration or GUE Doubles Primer certification
• If using a drysuit: 10+ non-training dives in a drysuit or GUE Drysuit Primer certification

Duration: Two days, including a minimum of four dives and 16 hours of in-water instruction.

Completing Performance Diver prepares you for:

• GUE Fundamentals – develop valve drills, SMB deployment, gas sharing, and team protocols.
• GUE Advanced Open Water Diver – deeper diving (to ~30m/100ft), navigation, and advanced mixture use.
