SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course - 4 Week Course - Thursdays

SDI makes it possible for you to complete all of the academic requirements for your entry-level scuba diver certification online. You can get started right now and, when you are done, you will then complete your in-water skill-development sessions and final open-water training dives at a local SDI Dive Center close to home, or at a popular vacation destination. It’s that simple! Now, go dive the world with your SDI certification.

Upon signing up you will be texted a Learning Agreement - once you have signed the Learning Agreement you will be able to retrieve your eLearning codes.
All students are required to complete a medical questionnaire that can be found here.

Required Equipment
To ensure you have the best experience during training, it’s essential to have personal gear that fits you perfectly. This includes your mask, fins, boots, and snorkel—items specifically chosen to provide comfort and performance.
We are committed to your success, which is why we take the time to ensure your gear fits properly. Poorly fitted equipment can significantly impact your enjoyment and safety underwater. During training in our on-site pool, if there’s an issue with your gear, we can exchange it for a better fit—but this service is only available for gear purchased at our store.
Personal gear is a valuable investment that lasts for years and is versatile for snorkeling and other water activities. To make sure you’re ready, we recommend visiting our store several days before your class begins for a personalized fitting. Arriving on the first day of training may limit the time available for a proper fitting, so plan ahead to dive with confidence!
Open Water Checkout Information*
During Warmer Months (May to October):
Open Water Checkout will be completed at the Scuba Ranch, 8131 Co Rd 346, Terrell, TX 75161.
During Cooler Months (November to April):
Open Water Checkout may be completed at:

- Balmorhea State Park, 9207 TX-17, Toyahvale, TX 79786
- Alternatively, you can choose to postpone until warmer water at the Scuba Ranch.

Complimentary Nitrox Training
As part of our Standard Open Water Scuba Class, we include complimentary Nitrox training—a $145 value—at no additional cost. Nitrox allows for longer dive times and can enhance your overall diving experience.
