Scouting Swim Test
No Scout can safely participate in camp aquatics without demonstrating basic swimming ability. However, confidence alone is not enough unless one can show controlled movement and endurance in water.
The main purpose of the Scouting Swim Test is to verify readiness for aquatic activities, confirming fundamental skills in deep water, stroke ability, floating, and stamina, while helping leaders place Scouts appropriately so programs remain safe, inclusive, structured, and suitable for camp participation and aquatic supervision standards.
If your troop has 10 or more participants requiring swim tests, please contact the store directly to arrange a dedicated troop session instead of booking individually into public swim test events. This helps ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and a better overall experience for both troop and public participants.
